Vyronas

The District

Vyronas sits just east of the Athens center, below Mount Hymettus. It is a dense, authentic Greek neighborhood with a strong local identity, squares and tavernas, within a short drive of Syntagma and the historic core.

A planned metro extension is expected to serve the area, which historically relied on buses and trolley lines. Renovated apartments and full building conversions have become more common as demand spreads outward from Pangrati and Mets.
